Chris is a native of Michigan but was raised mostly in the south.

He attended Baylor University where he met his wife Natalie. The couple moved to Durham in 2000 for Chris to pursue his Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School. Though he has served churches in Texas, Alabama and North Carolina, Chris and Natalie consider The Triangle home.

Outside of Chris’ service to our church, he is involved in leadership in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. His other interests include running, basketball, reading, TV, music and movies. His mood has been known to change based on the performance of the Carolina Hurricanes or Duke Bluedevils, but he hopes not to pass those mood swings on to their son Cam.

Cindy grew up in Newnan, Georgia but has called Oxford home since 1980 when she came to OBC to serve as Minister of Music. She is a graduate of Tift College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Cindy is a member of the Choristers Guild and the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers. Working with children and young people has always been an important part of Cindy’s ministry and in 2010 she assumed responsibilities as Interim Youth Minister.
